Continued from title 27519, interview with Keoki Freeland recorded in Lāhainā at the Masters' Reading Room and interview with Lāhaināluna High School kūpuna outside of Lāhaināluna High School on December 8, 2005 for the documentary "Lahaina: Waves of Change." Freeland talks about the suppression of Hawaiian language and culture which happened within the family and the Lāhaināluna High School boarding department. Interviewed outside Lāhaināluna High School, kūpuna who were students, faculty, and staff at the school talk about the special essence of being a graduate of the school and the bond that pulls everyone together. Lāhaināluna High School kūpuna include Henry Ariyoshi, George Fujiwara, Lorraine Gomes, Fred Higuchi, Leslie Hiraga, Robert Kawaguchi, Ted Kawamura, Eark Kukahiko, Jean Miyahira, and Violet Nishijima.
