Kaʻai talks about every missionary group bringing their own philosophy and appreciation of Christianity; the circulation and contributions brought to Hawaiʻi by westerners and other countries; how Kauikeaouli's reign saw the greatest changes; and the philosophical and genealogical lines. Kaʻai says Kauikeaouli is "the father of the nation because he made it a legal matter" by creating the government.
