Chris Conybeare leads a panel discussion with Brenda Ching-Bryan of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Hawaiʻi Branch, Chris Parsons of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), and Jean Simon of the Screen Extras Guild Hawaiʻi Chapter. The group discuss the high unemployment rate among members of these unions, the perceptions of the acting profession, pay scales, and how to join these unions. Other topics include; merger between SAG and AFTRA, the Japanese film industry in Hawaiʻi, and roles for local actors. Aired August 5, 1987.
