Topics include the socioeconomic conditions in Hawaiʻi at the time of Harriet Bouslog's return to the territory as an ILWU lawyer in 1946, the positive effects of Bouslog's legal work for the ILWU for organized labor in Hawaiʻi, the working relationship between Bouslog and her legal partner Myer Symonds, her speech against the Smith Act in Honokaʻa and subsequent disbarment, and her role in mobilizing public support against the death penalty in Hawaiʻi during the Majors-Palakiko case.
