Interview with Ruth Kaholoaʻa recorded on May 20, 1989 for the documentary "Luther Kahekili Makekau: A One Kine Hawaiian Man." Kaholoaʻa speaks in both Hawaiian and English languages about Luther Makekau, who was married to her cousin. She shares the two sides of Makekau, his nice and kind side, as well as his mean side. She says when he tips his hat don't say anything to him. Kaholoaʻa also shares that Makekau's father, Ramon Hoe Makekau, was a luna kānāwai (judge).
