Interview with Mary Ann "Queenie" Ventura Dowsett recorded on March 28, 1998 at her home in Waimea, Hawaiʻi for the documentary "Keepers of the Flame: The Cultural Legacy of Three Hawaiian Women." Dowsett, a student of ʻIolani Luahine in the mid-1940s shares her family background. Dowsett sings "Pili Pili Mai" a hymn composed by her grandfather that has become their family song.
