Kamauʻu, niece and student of ʻIolani Luahine, shares stories about Luahine. Kamauʻu talks about Luahine's infancy and how she received the name ʻIolani; her love for all sorts of music and dance; her hula teaching philosophies and the role Mary Kawena Pukui played in her teachings; and what defines Luahine as an outstanding dancer of her time.
