Continued from title 28940, interview with Kamaki Kanahele recorded on September 27, 2002 for the documentary "Keepers of the Flame: The Cultural Legacy of Three Hawaiian Women." Kanahele continues to share a story about George Naope wanting to add steps into a mele to "jazz it up" and getting a scolding from the kūpuna for changing it from the original; and the importance of preserving and protecting the mana in hula.
