Footage of a dedication ceremony for the ʻIolani Luahine bronze statue sculpted by Kim Duffet recorded on September 9, 1997 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, Oʻahu. Includes chanting by Hoakalei Kamauʻu, hula (dance) performances by former dancers of Luahine and Kamauʻu, pahu (drum) and ipu (gourd instrument) by Nathan Napoka, Royal Hawaiian Guard, and a blessing by Kamaki Kanahele. Also includes speeches by Peter Shawl (the managing director of Hilton Hawaiian Village), Eddie Kamae, and a poem read by Kaleihua Pule. People give hoʻokupu (offering) and lei to the statue.
