Continued from title 28976, interview with Dr. Beatrice "Bea" Krauss recorded at her home in Mānoa on December 29, 1996 for the documentary "Keepers of the Flame: The Cultural Legacy of Three Hawaiian Women." Dr. Krauss continues to share what made ʻIolani Luahine a true artist and how wonderful it was that she shared her gift with people. Dr. Krauss also speaks about her experiences with Edith Kanakaʻole including a six-week program called "Talking about Old Hawaiʻi" where Kanakaʻole shared stories about her early life and life lessons. Dr. Krauss also shares her experience with the evolution of the Hawaiian language, both spoken and not spoken in schools and in the home.
