Max Roffman introduces the first part of the documentary film "If You Don't Come in Sunday, Don't Come in Monday." The first half of the film looks at the labor history in America starting with the colonial beginnings of labor used in the United States and ending close to the 1920s. Topics include: the usage of slavery, indentured servants, the exploitation of women and children as a means of cheap labor, and the many battles between the workers and the employers. This documentary brings forth the beginnings of how and why the labor unions came into being.
