Guy Nunn hosts this early episode of Rice & Roses that includes segments on arbitrations and grievances, explanations of income tax forms, and a featurette about the Triangle Shirtwaist fire of 1911. Nunn interviews Henry Epstein, State Director of United Public Workers (UPW) and David Trask former Director of Hawaiʻi Government Employees Asscociation (HGEA) on the two unions joining with AFSCME (American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees). At the end of the program, viewers are asked to submit their opinions on a given scenario involving a grievance where the solution will be discussed in the next program. Recorded on March 3, 1971.
