Rice & Roses #222 : Hawaii's People part 3

This episode of Rice & Roses looks at two families from two different plantations and what they do to make ends meet. From farming and collecting chicken eggs to shoreline fishing, the entire family chips in to help one another out. The middle segment, titled Cane Camp, looks at Japanese immigrant cane workers on Kauaʻi and the transformation of the area in which they live.
