Ka Uluwehi o Ke Kai - Plants of the Sea

"In 1981, the KEY (Kahaluʻu-Heʻeia Ecumenical Youth) Project in Kahaluʻu, Hawaiʻi took on the challenge of restoring the rapidly disappearing limu beds (seaweed) in Kaneʻohe Bay. Fisherman Jerry Kaluhiwa spearheaded the project along with several teen students from the area. Over time, they saw the regeneration of limu of many varieties in the bay."
