The Salt Song Trail: Bringing Creation Back Together
"The Salt Song Trail: Bringing Creation Back Together" explores the revitalization of the singing of salt songs and other ceremonies of the Southern Paiute people who were forbidden to continue their cultural practices while attending boarding school at the Sherman Institute. The Salt Song Trail recounts the historic, spiritual, and sacred places to which their ancestors traveled. The current elders are trying to pass on their knowledge while trying to find a balance between the modern world and the traditional world for the generations to come. Recorded on November 27, 2004.
