Topics include Roger's memories of the Honolulu Record Newspaper and his mother's involvement there; the impact of his father's arrest on his immediate family; how Ariyoshi got involved and learned the floral business; Roger's role in the family floral business and how it was like working under his father; Ariyoshi's involvement in the formation of the Hawaiʻi-China Peoples Friendship Association and his three month trip to China in the early 1970s; Roger's first trip to China in 1974; Ariyoshi's philosophy of life as well as his views of death and remembrance; and what Roger would want people to know and remember about his father.
