This subcollection contains materials contributed by the Hula Preservation Society for the HKG Pilot Project. For this project, the Hula Preservation Society chose to include audio cassettes from the Nona Beamer Audio Tape Collection, which ranged in age from 30 to 40 years old. The resulting content contains talk story and music, featuring well-known figures in Hawaiian music, hula, and Hawaiʻi's history, such as Nona Beamer, Andy Cumming, Johnny Almeida, and Auntie Alice Namakelua. Extent: 10 hours, 58 minutes of audio recordings. Includes playable clips.
