Kids of Hōkūleʻa
This program documents a "pilot program which uses Hōkūleʻa and celestial navigation"...to show "the relevance of science in everyday life" and "the connection between various disciplines; science, art, history, and culture. It is a hands on experience that begins in the classroom" and incorporates on-site visits. The participants of the program were sixth grade students from Hongwanji Mission School in Nuʻuanu and ninth graders at the University Lab School. Produced at the Hawaiʻi Media Center for the Polynesian Voyaging Society.
