First Friday : The Unauthorized News : 1987 Year in Review (January 1988)
Shows guests who appeared on 1987 programs in the Year of the Hawaiian. Although festivities were as promised there were few social or material changes. Sena Gates and Charlene Sato joined the panel and discussed John Waiheʻe's first year and legislation, updates on the Philippines, El Salvador, Fiji, New Caledonia and Belau, the need for Hawaiian language studies and the historical & political education of Hawaiians, homelessness, increased militarization, child care, and the importance of land rights.
