Panel decides to catch up on news of Hawaiʻi and the Pacific area and does not invite a guest. Areas covered are sovereignty and reparations, burials settlement, public workers, Bishop Estate, Save Sandy Beach, mercury found in marijuana, and geothermal on the Big Island. Pacific news investigated includes Japanese investments and the Kanak struggle in New Caledonia. Legislation issues discussed are labor and the minimum wage, Hawaiian language immersion, defeat of the proposed Hilo language center, Hawaiian Studies building funding, and the Burials bill.
