The Return of the Hokuleʻa
The Return of the Hokuleʻa : Arrival and Greeting Festivities - July 26,1976 was a Hawaii Now live television special documenting the arrival of the voyaging canoe Hōkūleʻa at the Ala Wai Boat Harbor and Magic Island after its first, historic journey to and from Tahiti. The footage was shot on location by KHET, using their large, truck-sized mobile unit.
