Sons of Hawaiʻi at BJ's Pizza, Lahaina 1/16/99 tape 2

Continued from title 22898 footage recorded on January 16, 1999 at BJ's Chicago Pizzeria, now known as Lahaina Pizza Co. used in the documentary "The History of the Sons of Hawaiʻi." The footage includes the Sons of Hawaiʻi playing songs at BJ's. The Sons of Hawai'i at the time include: Eddie Kamae, Clayborne "Braddah Smitty" Smith, Pekelo Cosma, and Ocean Kaowili. With guests Hale Kaniho, who sings "Ka Lae ʻo Kaʻena" (composed by Eddie Kamae) and Lydia "Mama" Hale, who comes up and plays and talks about a medley of Hawaiian songs which include "When It's Springtime in the Rockies," "Lai Toodle," "Maikaʻi Kauaʻi" (composed by Henry Waiau), "Hiʻilawe" (composed by Sam Liʻa Kalainaina Sr.), and "Henehene Kou ʻAka." Also Cosca sings "Kawika," composed by J. Kealoha.
