Interview with Kahu David Kawika Kaʻalakea in Makena 5/13/94 tape 2

Continued interview with Kahu David Kawika Kaʻalakea from title 24884 and recorded in Makena, Maui on May 13, 1994 for the documentary "Hawaiian Voices: Bridging Past to Present." In ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language). Kahu Kaʻalakea and Eddie Kamae have a jam session outside with Kamae playing the ʻukulele and Kahu Kaʻalakea playing steel guitar. Kahu Kaʻalakea plays with a guitar laid across his lap with a steel bar, which changes the pitch and gives a unique sound. One mele (song) they play is "Milkshake." Kahu Kaʻalakea calls Kamae's ʻukulele playing nahenahe (soft, sweet, melodious).
