Interview with Eddie Kamae recorded on March 16, 2010 at Watters Martin's house for the documentary "Those Who Came Before: The Musical Journey of Eddie Kamae." Kamae shares individual lessons from his teachers Mary Kawena Pukui, Pilahi Paki, and Sam Liʻa Kalainaina. All his teachers had one thought in mind, the children of the land. Kamae shares the importance of passing on the knowledge and traditions of old Hawaiʻi for future generations through his films and his music.
