B-roll footage and interview with Asaishi Yamamoto recorded on March 18, 2002 at home in Naʻalehu, Hawaiʻi for the documentary "Those Who Came Before: The Musical Journey of Eddie Kamae." Yamamoto, also known as Asa, was a ranch manager in 1971 when Mary Kawena Pukui showed Eddie and Myrna Kamae the places of her home including Waikupuna, Puhiʻula, Palahemo, and Ka Lae in Kaʻū. Yamamoto shares his experiences of living in Naʻalehu and the changes he has seen in the community. This video also includes Kamae singing "Ke Ala A Ka Jeep," a song which resulted from his visit to Kaʻū 31 years before. The second part of the video is b-roll footage of Kamae at Palahemo, Kaʻū.
