Continued from title 27382, retirement party of Lāhainā tennis coach Shigeto "Shigesh" Wakida recorded on May 20, 2000 and interview with Kennedy Makekau also known as Bush recorded on May 21, 2000 for the documentary "Lahaina: Waves of Change." Ryan Ideta continues to share his gratitude for all Mr. Wakida has done for himself and other children of Lāhainā. Followed by Eddie Kamae, Claybourne "Braddah Smitty" Smith, and Allen Pokipala playing "Puamana" and "I Kona" accompanied by hula with b-roll shots of the crowd. Next Makekau, a student of Mr. Wakida who is looking to continue the legacy of his teacher with the Lāhainā Junior Tennis Club, is interviewed.
