This subcollection contains materials contributed by the Bishop Museum for the HKG Pilot Project. The Bishop Museum moving image collection is fairly large and contains a variety of original formats. For the pilot project they chose to include materials from one of their more threatened formats: 2-inch videotape. These tapes contained footage captured by KHET, documenting the return of the Hōkūleʻa from its first voyage. Extent: 3 hours, 13 minutes of video footage. Includes viewable clips.
